On a single day in 1922, seven centuries of Irish history were destroyed.
Trinity researchers, in partnership with 100 archives around the world, are recovering Ireland's lost national memory, providing a model for recovery from cultural loss across Europe.

Trinity Historian Dr Ciarán Wallace is the Director of the Virtual Record Treasury of Ireland (VRTI). The VRTI is an all-island and international research partnership hosted by Trinity College Dublin, working to reconstruct the Public Record Office of Ireland through a digitised, free, open-access online resource.
