If you want to avoid your corners from looking rounded, just place a taller stitch in the center of your corner cluster. Typically patterns have you work 3 of the same stitches into the corner space, which is what makes those corners look rounded. Replace the middle stitch with one that’s taller than the other two, and your corner will automatically appear sharper.
