After almost 14 1/2 years, Qubo (an American free-to-air children's television channel) will be closing its doors. Originally a joint venture between Ion Media (who eventually acquired it entirely), NBCUniversal, Scholastic Entertainment, Classic Media (later called DreamWorks Classics after being acquired by DreamWorks Animation), and Corus Entertainment. It was acquired in Jan. 2021 by the E.W. Scripps Network, who decided to shut it down.
R.I.P. to the channel that shaped the childhoods of many American kids without cable.
