We have a large colony of purple martins and 12 nesting pair of tree swallows. Every year, our resident Great Horned Owl shows up to try to catch some of them. On the night of 5/13, she left 2 calling cards.
Our tree swallows decided to not let them go to waste. Even if they DID belong to one of their top predators. And hilarity ensued.
Put that in your pipe & smoke it, Missus GHO!!
