Trent Bolte reportedly told agents from the FBI that Watts reached out to him on the MessageMe app and complimented him on the picture he had put up and his lips. Bolte also told the officers investigating that he and Watts first met at Bolte's house and Watts allegedly ripped off his clothes. Soon after that, however, the gay man said that he met Bella and Celeste Watts, the killer's children. Bolte said that Watts told him before he met the children: "If you turn out not to be a psycho maybe you can meet them."
