Tremont Mountain, at 10,388’, is the high point of Golden Gate Canyon State Park near Golden, Colorado. There is no trail access to the summit, and in fact very little information on the route besides a brief description in the Summit Post. I started from Gap Road access lot and bushwhacked up the northeast slope to the summit ridge, then traversed over to the high point of the ridge. Some minor 3rd class scramble is needed to gain the ridge. On a clear day one can see the entire Front Range from the summit. Total stats: 2 miles with 1000ft elevation gain
