In September 2022 I purchased a Trek e-Caliber electric mountain bike which on paper looked to be the ideal full suspension bike that's light weight and practical to travel with. The e-Caliber makes use of the innovative Fazua powert system which allows both the motor and battery to be removed for transporting or even to use the bike as a standard un-powered bike.
When combined with the E-Caliber's lightweight carbon frame this should make the bike perfect for travelling. Especially if the bike needs to be carried on the car roof for example when towing.
