This was a suggestion by LvlGenesis! It's from the GBA version of the Donkey Kong Country 3, which had a completely new OST by David Wise. I had no idea the third GBA port was so different, I only played the port of DKC1 as a kid (the one with Donkey Kong's yells from DK64.) People tend to dislike this song due to how unfitting it is for some levels, but overall I think I prefer the happier tone of the whole OST, it's interesting how they turned the whole mood of the game around with a couple graphical and musical changes. The only thing I have a bias towards is the weird Gormless Kong or whatever his name is. Stop screaming, it's just a bee sting, sheesh
This is exactly the type of song I love covering because people typically tend to forget about these more obscure songs, they don't get a ton of representation. Very happy that I managed to arrange my own version of this, especially since the original GBA sound was quite, uh, raspy on the ears. The aim here was to smoothen that out a bit and throw some fun and creative segments in there as well, so I hope you enjoy listening to it!
