Come along with me as I share how to make some Tree Branch Decor! These Tree limbs were from a Crate Murdel tree we took down in our backyard. They were so pretty, I just couldn't toss them! The bark on these trees is so unique smooth! These decorative branches are perfect for bringing a natural touch to your home!
Instructions:
I started this project by taking the cut limbs, a large pair of pruners and a small pair of pruners and getting rid of all of the little straggler limbs. Anything that was dainty and hanging off I clipped. Mainly keeping the trunks and the thicker limbs towards the tops on your decorative branches.
After I clipped everything off that I did not want I started sanding around the pieces I had clipped. I sanded those smooth for safety reasons and just to make sure if anyone ever ran into it or it fell it wouldn't hurt anyone. The 80 grit sandpaper worked great for getting those rough edges smooth.
I then took a 120 and a 150 grit sandpaper and sanded the branches and limbs with those. It was the perfect grit sandpaper for it because it didn't take off everything but it did smooth it out really nice. Just sand until you get your desired result. I was happy with the texture and I wanted to make sure I left a lot of that natural bark and texture. After your all done sanding you should have your tree branch decor!
