I was feeling inspired this week - there was something happening - I grabbed my guitar and found it in standard tuning. That’s unusual for for me - I’m usually in DADGAD.

I didn’t want to interrupt the flow however so I decided at that moment to try and used approach standard tuning like I would any other open tuning - searching for sonority, texture, tension and release.
