This one is for our beloved Health Care Heroes. But also, without a doubt, protective face masks will continue to be a part of our faces going forward. I’ve been hearing from so many of you, whether for yourselves or for your friends who are health care heroes, about the different adverse side effects that are coming with wearing these masks for extended periods of time. Today I asked my friend, Dr. Evan Rieder to help me address the 2 main skin conditions associated with this face dressing. Dr. Rieder is board certified in dermatology and psychology (only 1 of 3 in the US) and practices out of NYU Hospital. We chat about ways to prevent the potential skin conditions, how to treat them and how we should be prepping our masks before use.
