In this video, I collect the Moon "Treasure of the Waterfall Basin" with 0x A Presses and 0x Cappy throws. To do this I first need to walk up to the spot where you find the Rock with the Moon in it. Then I kick the Rock around 8 times, now I grab the Rock and drop down to the chest Moon. Now I throw the Rock at the specific spot so the Moon will spawn there. To open the Chest you can simply bonk into it. And now to collecting the Chest Moon: You want to bonk into the Wall so you'll collect the Moon from the Rock while being in the Bonk Animation to gain a bit of height. After the Moon Animation of the Rock Moon you want to quickly Press ZR/ZL and X/Y to dive into the Chest Moon, to collect it without pressing A and throwing Cappy. Important: You can only do this if the Rock Moon isn't collected, because a collected Moon wouldn't cancel the Bonk Animation.
This was done on the 1.2.0 Version of Super Mario Odyssey, but it's also possible in earlier versions of the game.
