The Traxxas XMaxx runs great after programming the esc. I'm Just disappointed that the powerhobby raptor XL tires that are supposed to be belted & already came unglued. I noticed when I got home it started splitting by the bead of the tire. So I’m in the process of contacting powerhobby and hopefully they could send me another set of tires.
-Update- 2023 PowerHobby has sent two front replacements, from New Jersey. Thanks PowerHobby
Just wanted to give an update on the Traxxas Xmaxx 8S . Super fun and easy build took me two years just because of my illness and the cost of parts. But it has been done for the last two years. Just doing some final checks, and it should be ready to go.. 
I listed some parts down below, a lot of parts I bought off eBay and are no longer available. I know eBay was a lot cheaper for me, but I left some amazon links below if you rather go there. I know the motor is expensive for the 1275kv velineon replacement. I lucked out and found one new left on eBay for $99usd and the powerhobby battery’s I caught a sale on a double pack of 4s. So definitely check eBay often and you may score a deal as well.
