For 15 years we have shown you almost everything - every campground, every state, every breakdown on the side of the road. But this? Our actual home base? We have kept it private. Until now.
This is our 10 acres in southwest Michigan. Hero's Lake, the GT trail, the garden we built, neglected for two years while we were living our best life on the road, and brought back to life this spring. The dedicated RV pad where our Brinkley Model Z 3500 fifth wheel lives and doubles as our full gear-testing lab. The barn and workshop. The ham radio tower. The whole-house generator. And the cornfield that is the real reason we chose this land.
We travel between 6 and 8 months a year. We are not full-timers and never want to be. This is what we come home to - and this video explains exactly why we will never give it up.
This summer Jennifer will be recovering from knee replacement surgery, which means for the first time in two years we are actually home long enough to appreciate every inch of this place. The garden is growing. The grandkids are across the beanfield. Bo has worn a path in the GT trail. And the Beauty is hooked up on her pad, rested and ready for fall and being used as a test lab for videos, tinkering and reviews.
