Subpar safety standards are being blamed for a fire that swept through a lithium battery factory in South Korea that killed 23 workers. According to local fire officials, the highly flammable plastic insulation in the factory walls and combustible materials stored near the exit door significantly contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
