Abood and Wafaa detail first morning of attacks while on vacation with their 1-year-old son, Yousef, which started with the crack of rockets launching at 6:30 in the morning. But this wasn't Abood's first taste of war: He survived tank attacks in Jabalia in the early 2000s at his parents house, so he knew the sounds of rockets were going outbound, at least, and not toward them.
But that wouldn't last.
