Deep beneath the streets of New York, something is waiting in the sewers.
In today’s playthrough of CROCOCO, I descend into the city’s underground tunnels to investigate a series of strange disappearances and quickly discover that I may not be alone. With its unique sewer setting, creepy atmosphere, and B-movie horror vibes, the game delivers some genuinely fun and tense moments.
While the atmosphere and setting were surprisingly enjoyable, the game leans heavily into lowbrow humor and repeated jokes that started to wear thin as the story progressed. Still, CROCOCO manages to provide an entertaining indie horror experience with some memorable moments and a setting you don’t see very often.
