To avoid trap choices in SAT Reading:
1) Make sure each word of the choice is supported by the text (and answers the question). It doesn't matter if a part of the choice is "perfect" -- if the whole choice isn't supported, it's all wrong.
2) Just because a choice "makes sense" or "could be true" doesn't mean it's right -- where's the evidence in the text?
