From our video archives in remembrance of the tragic terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Officer Chris Christensen is an active-duty police officer from East Carondelet, IL. When news broke about the terrorist attacks on 9/11 he packed up his squad car, his rescue K9, Servus, and traveled to Manhattan.
While Officer Christensen and Servus were searching for survivors in the rubble of the south tower, Servus fell through an opening that was 10-15 feet below. Resting on a ledge with Servus now not breathing, Officer Christensen saw a heavy beam of the settling building headed straight towards them, and speaking to god directly, he looks back now and says it best, “that angel saved my life and my dogs life that day”.
After being asked to machine engrave a Model 629 revolver in memory of Servus, it is with honor and gratitude that the employees of Smith & Wesson present a beautiful one-of-a-kind, hand-engraved Model 629 to Officer Christensen, free of charge.
