Following Margaret Atwood’s vocal rejection of transphobia, the ‘gender critical’ crowd has turned its attention to claiming the humanity of late author Sir Terry Pratchett, seemingly overjoyed at the clear distress this has caused Terry’s family and friends.

This video was an incredibly personal one for me as both a trans person and lifelong Pratchett fan. One of the two pins I have on my jacket (and subsequent avatar that most of you will recognise) is a silver 'The Turtle Moves' pin my wife got me for my birthday, and is something I keep on me during my travels.

I’d just like to express my sorrow at the fact that Rhianna Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and Rob Wilkins were forced to defend Terry's humanity, and thank them for their vocal support of trans people who are sadly all too familiar with being let down.

It means the world to us.
