In August 2016, a fierce Atlantic storm snapped the towline of the Transocean Winner, an enormous oil rig on its final voyage. The result was a maritime nightmare: the massive structure was driven onto the jagged rocks of the Isle of Lewis, threatening one of the UK’s most beautiful and environmentally sensitive coastlines.
