How to Install an Android File Transfer Replacement [Mac]
Full Tutorial: bit.ly/smartfinder

In this video, I'll be showing you a new Mac app called "Smart Finder" (now called "HandShaker") that replaces the clunky old Android File Transfer app with a native UI.
With this one installed, you can get rid of the crappy AFT app on your Mac, and instead, use a Finder-like interface to browse your phone. You can drag-and-drop files, and there's even a batch import and export feature, so it's both beautiful and functional.

In this video, Ill be showing you how to set up an app called Monochrome, which automatically enables a GPU-level grayscale mode when your battery is low.
Grayscale (or black and white) can be a great battery saver for devices with AMOLED screens. This app automatically enables the feature when your systems Battery Low warning message pops up, so you can squeeze an extra bit of juice out of your device.
Root is not required, but it makes things easier. However, if youre not rooted, youll need to run a single ADB command, which you can find at the full tutorial.

In this video, Ill be showing you a cool little app called Smart Wallpaper that automatically changes your home screen background based on several different contexts.
You can have different wallpapers for every day of the week, or month of the year. You can set it to change when you connect to a different Wi-Fi network, or even switch your wallpaper when the weather changes. Another great option here is the Time of Day feature—this one lets you set a light background during the daytime, then switch to a dark one at night.

In this video, Ill be showing you a cool little app that gives you a front-facing selfie flash feature in any app — no root needed.
Similar to a feature youll find on iPhones and some stock camera apps, this makes the screen turn white while youre taking a selfie to better illuminate your face. But the killer feature is how it works in ANY app — even Snapchat, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

For security reasons, Android now defaults to Charge only mode when you connect your phone to a computer with a USB cable. But if you use your phone like a flash drive, it gets old having to tap the notification, then pick file transfer mode in the menu.
Thankfully, if you enable the hidden Developer Options menu in Androids Settings, you can choose the default mode for your phones USB connection and make it show up in Explorer or Finder right away.

In this video, Ill be showing you how to install OmniSwitch on Android Nougat. This could work for other Android versions, but it hasnt been tested.
Youll need to have a custom recovery installed to try this out, as OmniSwitch needs to be installed on your system partition. But this flashable ZIP gives you all of the great OmniSwitch multitasking features on stock Android or other custom ROMs.
Some benefits of OmniSwitch include the ability to pin your favorite apps to the multitasking UI, or even launch any app on your phone. Aside from that, you can access some additional settings and customize the entire UI, so its like a power users multitasking interface.

Use Google Cardboard, Photo Sphere, & More Without a Gyroscope
Full Tutorial: http://bit.ly/GyroSense
Subscribe to Gadget Hacks: http://goo.gl/XagVI
In this video, Ill be showing you an Xposed module called VirtualSensor that lets you use apps like Google Cardboard and Photo Sphere even if your phone doesnt have a gyroscope.
Many midrange phones are lacking a gyroscope sensor these days, and that can cause compatibility issues with certain apps. This module combines the data from your compass and accelerometer to simulate a gyroscope sensor, which fools these apps into thinking you have compatible hardware.
It doesnt work for all apps (most notably, Pokémon GOs AR mode), but the vast majority of apps that require a gyroscope should work almost flawlessly after installing this mod.
