I practiced this level for a week before even starting the normal stars. I wasn't scared of those initially, but besides star 2 and 3 they went horrible. Multiple ending chokes on secrets, 6 ending chokes on s1 with 2 more right before the end. But those were nothing compared to s4. Easily the most cursed star in the game with 2 chokes to the last jump and a million deaths right before it. Somehow that star unironically took me longer than every single star up to that point, at least if we only count attempts. It's still absurd that you spend more time on a random normal star than every single OW3 red coin star.
The bigger problem was I lost a lot of confidence for reds. S4 path is last with my route, so dying there a bunch was incredibly frustrating. I did more practice in the evening and it kinda went meh, which is fair after being dead from work, but also took even more confidence from me.
The next day it went a lot better and I got the star from 7/25 with 1 death and that death was to missing a wallkick, because I didn't look at the game. I also got the star from before the third path. I felt more confident I could eventually get it, even tho it might still a very depressing and mentally draining grind.
I started attempts after having no motivation for 2h again...
My literal 2nd attempt got to 18/25, which was insane. Frustrating death, because it seemed perfect and I never failed that jump in practice anymore, but getting such an attempt early on is sick and the jump is certainly scary, so it was at least somewhat reasonable dying to it. However my deaths afterwards weren't that reasonable anymore. They certainly were a bit frustrating, but at least I wasn't stuck at spawn, which was pretty nice, since the star 1 path is by far the hardest.
Then I died with 21/25 to a random missed qslg, which was really depressing. Dying to those thins afterwards would've been fair enough, but just missing a qslg sure was a pain. And 2 attempts later this attempt happened. So happy I didn't choke the final path and just how fast I got this is still insane to me.
