A seventy-two year old driver, who had been doing a little drinking, finds himself stuck on railroad tracks in Hinsdale, Illinois. As a police officer pulls up to the scene, a Metra commuter train traveling more than 60 miles per hour smashes into the vehicle. The confused driver was lucky to be alive as a bystander pulled him away seconds before the first collision. As police attempted to call the train dispatch to stop train traffic a second Metra train filled with passengers approaching from the opposite direction hits the already destroyed van causing a massive fireball. The driver was charged with DUI after blowing twice the legal limit on a breathalyzer. (2008)
