A Sunday afternoon at Hanwell station. How this station and the services offered from Hanwell station has changed over recent years. With the Elizabeth Line now up and running, GWR no longer serve Hanwell. All services are operated by TfL on the Lizzy line between Reading / Heathrow & Abby Wood via Paddington & Central. Freeing up GWR units to head further afield. Not a DMU in sight either. The IETs on the longer distance services & class 387s on more local routes. As well as the GWR services theres also the Heathrow Express which operates every 15 mins in each direction between Paddington & Heathrow. All very different from the days of turbos & HSTs.
