Soundtrack - Jynweythek Ylow (Mechanical Man) (Aphex Twin)
The theme plays during the opening tutorial of the game.
Orbon’s gameplay revolves around melee combat and is akin to something similar to Devil May Cry or Metal Gear Rising. His primary weapon is called X-calibur, an electrified katana that Orbon is able to use to conduct electricity through his body for extra energy. Extra weapons are unlocked later through finding them in levels. Personality wise Orbon retains his sarcastic personality but is notably more up-tight and ego-centric in this incarnation.
Cubon’s gameplay in contrast instead functions closer to that of a third-person shooter. Cubon’s default guns are dual pistols named Scratch and Grounder. However it’s revealed early on that Cubon suffers from Dissociative Personality Disorder, with each of his later unlocked personalities being proficient with different guns. Personality wise Cubon retains his moronic personality but is notably more brash and jumpy, often acting quickly without thinking.
The end of the level also sees the introduction of this game’s equivalent of Eggman, a Russian scientist who defected from the government shortly before the game’s events. He is named Doctor Viktor Sokolov. Sokolov acts as a father-like figure to Orbon and Cubon and although very heinous in his own right, is noticeably kinder than Eggman.
