In this video, engineers from CRRC DLoco take you inside the workshop to show how the exterior film is carefully applied to ECRL passenger trains. While the process may look similar to putting a screen protector on a phone, wrapping a train is a completely different challenge — the film can be up to 18 meters long and must be applied with precision on a complex curved surface.

Beyond visual design, the film used on ECRL trains is specially developed for high-speed rail applications. Made from upgraded double-layer cast PVC material, it features enhanced adhesion, high tensile strength, and excellent resistance to strong winds and intense ultraviolet radiation, ensuring durability under long-term operation in tropical climates. The film also helps protect the original paint from minor scratches, stone impacts, insects, and daily wear.
