Trails is a compilation of tricks I have developed over the last ten years showcasing the twists and turns my process has taken.
Recently, my trick construction has been influenced by other movement-intensive hobbies: hip hop dance, climbing and cycling. I have been fascinated by how people can make simple movements look difficult and difficult movements look simple, creating a seemingly effortless display of skill.
I hope my tricks pave a trail as each part collapses and flows, winding up and down into the larger narrative. But, the real joy is the journey and the process of discovery.
Two thank you’s. Firstly, I want to thank the original caretakers for the land upon which we filmed: the Ventureño, Gabrieleño, Fernandeño, Fort Mojave, and Chemehuevi.
