A tutorial from Harrierrunfree.com on how to discover new routes and transfer GPX routes from Strava to OS Maps. We will cover 1. How to Discover and save to Favourites routes that people have already put onto OS Maps. 2. How to take a route from Strava (either your own or someone you follow) and upload it to OS maps.
You can then either print off as a paper map, or down load the OS maps app on your phone and use it as a GPS satnav. Really great for trail running, hiking, cycling and when you are visiting new areas.

There is a free version or a £25ish a year version. The subscription gives you some good additional features I think make it worth the money but the free one is great to have a go.
NB - Sorry for the error - it is the RED DOT that is your start point and the BLACK CHEQUERED PIN that is your end point. But just do a run over or a fly through to double check your routes.
Make sure you stay safe when using this on a phone. Batteries die, phones get dropped in puddles, technical glitches can occur. I always take a map and compass with me too so I have a backup. It's best for trail areas with footpaths, rather than off piste / on mountains - use common sense!
Hope you enjoy it and try out some new routes, let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Happy running!
