Axel gets into fights a lot, but there wasn’t anybody willing to patch them up until Widget came along. Widget was the first person who accept Axel as they are, rough edges and all. Despite being so optimistic, Widget finds Axel’s short fuse very refreshing, often admiring their free spirit and confidence.

After Widget declared that Axel was their “favorite person”, Axel decided that this friendship was something they wanted to work for. With enough time, Axel hopes to become the hero that Widget believes they are.
