What a traffic Knightmare in Richmond today...
Traffic reporter whishes Richmond Drivers luck as they try to get out of or around Richmond. Major major major delays everywhere.
The cause? Earlier in the day, a semi lost its rear axle on the Knight Street Bridge (Hence the term traffic "Knight"mare). The axle flew out and demolished the minivan behind it, also damaging several other cars, causing a major accident and heavy delays, then followed by a bridge closure. While that was happening, a dump truck broke down on the Oak Street Bridge, causing heavy delays for the other bridge out of Richmond. And of course, while these two accidents were being cleared, more accidents started popping up all over Richmond, there were about 5 accidents within a 3 kilometer radius causing even more back up, leading to gridlocks everywhere.
In the second clip, I was trying to take the Queensborough as an alternate route instead of Knight, but that was pretty heavily backed up too. I've been in traffic for quite some time, leading to my dry sense of humour when the reporter said "Knight Street Bridge is backed up, Queensborough is backed up, and don't take the Oak St Bridge either"
A Knightmare indeed.
On another note, as for the update video I promised... I LIED. That's coming tomorrow :)
