If you are looking for an awesome recipe for your smoker this just turned out awesome. Smoked Pulled Pork and Kicked up Beans on my Traeger Pellet Grill.
I used some sectioned pork shoulder and put on a spice rub with onion, garlic, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, & pepper.
Then I smoked the pork shoulder sections for about 5 hours at +170 degrees. Then I placed them in a foil pan with 2 cups of apple juice and continued smoking at +200 degrees for another 2 hours. Then boosted the temp to +275 for another hour or so. After the pork reached an internal temp of +185 I pulled it apart in the apple juice and added a small amount of my favorite BBQ sauce.
I put the foil pan of pulled pork back on the smoker with a pan of my kicked up beans and continued smoking at +275 for about 2 hours. Serve the pulled pork with the yummiest fresh buns, Kicked Up Beans and refreshing beverage of choice. Prepare for awesomeness. Always eat while sitting down.
Easy Bean Recipe:
-1 Can or 2 Bush’s Baked Beans
-1 Diced Onion
-1 cup diced celery
-1 cup diced green peppers
-1 diced Jalapeno (If you like spice)
-1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
-Salt, Pepper, & Spices to liking
