On this day 130 years ago, J.R.R. Tolkien was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa. As is tradition to Tolkien readers, every year on January 3rd at 9pm (local time) we toast to this great man by simply saying “The Professor”, before taking a sip from a drink of your choice.
