Legacy car brands are shooting themselves in the foot!

Yes, many of them are building genuinely impressive new EVs, but in the rush to sell electric cars, they may be forgetting the one thing Chinese brands and EV startups can’t copy overnight: legacy.

The memories. The loyalty. The bedroom posters. The family cars. The emotional connection that made us fall in love with BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Volkswagen, Ford, Toyota and the rest.

If they abandon that, what have they got left? A one-way road off the cliff of extinction.
