![Twin Master combine showcases new, efficient updates | Edible Bean School
Harvesting edible beans requires a combine that can handle plenty of crop while protecting the quality of the beans that end up in the bin. For the past 15 years, Pickett Equipment’s Twin Master has been designed around those priorities, with grower feedback helping shape the machine along the way.
In this episode of RealAgriculture’s Edible Bean School, Nathan Thielen of Pickett Equipment joins Bernard Tobin at Delta Power Equipment in Exeter, Ont., for a walkaround of the Twin Master and a look at updates for the 2026 model.
Thielen says much of the combine’s evolution has come directly from conversations with bean growers. “The improvements we make every year [come from] dealing with farmers,” he says. That feedback is taken back to the company with a focus on improving performance.
The Twin Master features twin central-flow threshing cylinders, twin vacuum systems, and twin bucket elevators. It also has a 15-foot floating pickup with soft fingers and an 18,500-pound dump-bin capacity.
Thielen says another reason the machine has earned growers’ respect is its serviceability. “They can fix a lot of it themselves,” he says. “We do it so that we make parts replaceable, so that you don’t have to buy a new one every year.”
For 2026, that focus on efficiency and ease of operation continues. In the video, Thielen highlights changes in the cab and throughout the machine designed to improve operator efficiency, simplify maintenance, and help protect bean quality.
