This is rather easy to do with Trackmaster Gordon. All you need is a AAA battery, you probably need to push the negative terminal down a little bit for the AAA battery to fit (because the AAA battery's length is also less than that of AA and C batteries.) and you're good to go. This may also work with other engines too, but I am unsure.
