Modeselektor take us inside their studio to break down the making of ‘Kill Bill Vol.4 (CV1)’ – a reimagined version of their 2005 track.

Using Ableton Live’s Stem Separation, they dissect the stereo mix before turning to Sound Similarity Search to find replacement sounds that match the character of the original. From there, they rebuild and refine the track’s hard-hitting low end through careful layering, compression, and tonal shaping.
