I tested TP Link’s TL WR3602BE (BE3600) Wi Fi 7 travel router and, at around $99, I think it is a very strong budget option. It lets me connect multiple devices through one travel friendly gateway using public Wi Fi, phone tethering, or wired internet, and it adds useful features like VPN support, failover, and flexible port use. It is dual band only, so there is no 6 GHz, but it still supports Wi Fi 7 MLO and delivers plenty for typical travel use. I liked the practical hardware design, low power draw, excellent temperatures, and solid failover behavior, and I found setup and public Wi Fi connection times to be impressively quick. The software is feature rich with good control over networks, security, and management, though the desktop interface feels dated compared with the better mobile app. My main downsides were the lack of 6 GHz, no app center, and higher CPU and RAM usage during MLO, but overall I see it as an easy recommendation if I want an affordable Wi Fi 7 travel router.
