After doing the 2-cycle Dangoro setup (youtu.be/jyNtT4pyzJ0) because he bounces around for quite a while on the lava, you have time to hit him again with a strong attack that will instantly make him stop his bouncing and start to charge again.
Saves about three seconds, pretty cool.
