Electric cars are gaining more popularity and sales but still, some hurdles need to overcome before they are broadly adopted. Lack of charging infrastructure and the Higher upfront cost is the known concerns. main issues are the limited driving range and charging time and battery life.
Toyota is going to introduce a gamechanger solid-state battery. A recharge from zero to full in 10 minutes. A trip of 500 km on one charge.

There are already other fully electric cars on the road from companies like Tesla, Nissan, and BMW, etc but most of these are running on lithium-ion batteries. Toyota plans to be the first company to sell an electric vehicle equipped with its new solid-state battery in the early 2020s. The world's largest automaker will preview an electric SUV in the coming months. Driving range of Toyota's new electric SUV will be more than double as compared vehicle running on a conventional lithium-ion battery under the same conditions. Toyota's new battery is expected to become a viable alternative to lithium-ion batteries that use aqueous electrolyte solutions. This innovation would lower the risk of fires and charging time will be reduced by two-thirds.
