Townhouse Yarns is the hand-dyed sister brand of This is Knit, born out of a love for colour and a desire to create something truly unique. Now based in a custom built dye studio one hour from Dublin, Jenny Sisk and her team combine various hand dyeing techniques with carefully selected base yarns to produce a stunning range of shades and textures. Each skein is dyed in small batches, ensuring a one-of-a-kind product that’s perfect for making standout projects.
Our collection includes everything from luxurious fingering-weight blends to chunky yarns with rich depth of color. While not all of our base yarns are sourced from Irish sheep, every skein is dyed with care in Ireland, showcasing the skill and artistry of our team. In addition to being available in This is Knit, Townhouse Yarns products are offered wholesale to retailers worldwide, with a Trade-only access website offering both Starter Packs and shade-by-shade ordering to busy LYSOs who are seeking quality hand dyed ranges for their shelves.
We’re always exploring new ideas and inspirations for our colorways, with inspiration coming from diverse sources: pop culture, literature, nature and Irish folklore. Whether through collaborations, like our recent Farm to Yarn Chunky partnership with Ériu Yarns, or our clubs, limited editions and seasonal shades, we aim to create yarns with a wow factor that will stand the test of time.
