This week, we want to show you how beautiful our hometown of Sanford, MI looked during the Christmas season this year. 2020 was a very rough year for our hometown. On May 19, 2020, the Edenville and Sanford Dams failed, causing severe flooding to the surrounding area and the near destruction of Sanford. Where the Christmas trees were is where a neighborhood once stood, it is now completely empty. The village turned the area into a hub of activity and Christmas spirit for “Sanford Shines,” and different businesses contributed to the event. I drove down there so many times, it just filled me with joy to see my town celebrating after a year of recovering and heartbreak. We are Sanford Strong!
Also, I go to the Sanford museum which is usually quite festive this time of year, but really looked good this year! Thank you, Sanford, for being such a great little town!
