You know how Mo Willems is our first education artist-in-residence? We’ve been brainstorming ideas together—to think on ways to engage families to come experience the Center. To get to know us. And, in doing so, exposing more learners to the power of the arts.
One idea took root: What if we brought Pigeon to the Center through augmented reality? As in, have Pigeon “be” in the Center, leading a fun tour—a kind of scavenger hunt where Pigeon guides people along, asking questions they can answer to earn cookies and prizes along the way—while learning and experiencing the Center in a playful, decidedly Pigeon way.
So, we did! We built an augmented reality app that does all these things. Our team worked closely with Mo to conceptualize, write and envision it—and partnered with @ZapparApp for the development.
