For the 3 months, we downsized even more! in summer/fall 2023 we visited friends and family, attended events, and explored the United States in an ultra-lightweight aluminum truck camper.
This is a 2012, 8.5-foot CampLite Truck Camper. (It's all aluminum and weighs 1600 lbs.)
We towed it with a 2019 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 Supercab truck.with 4WD.
Truck campers are some of the smallest RVs out there, and aren't even classified as RVs in some states (instead, they are classified as cargo). With a camper this size, we were able to boondock, explore more places, and run into fewer challenges with parking and maintenance.
