This is a tour of my 1987 knight rider kitt replica. It took me just under a year and a half to get it to this level after buying the car in May 2019. The car itself is a 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans-am 5 speed manual with a t-bar roof. i bought the car for £15,000 and spent around £17,000 over a year and a half getting it converted into a great looking kitt replica.
The costs includes mechanical repairs and upgrades, full body respray, new seals, rubbers, new nose, new rear bumper, new t-bar section, new hood, new tyres, new carpets, new seat upholstery, new upper and lower console, all interior plastics have been sprayed tan colour and other sections covered in tan foam material. Kitt dashboard has been reburbished with lots of new parts. Brand new scanner from Knight scanners. New fog lights and whole new rear section including lights and blackout. I also purchased new kitt car matts and sill decals too.
The car is looking pretty good now but I still have more to do which I will do over the next couple of years.
