In early November, we took a trip up the street to visit an amazing urban farm in gardenstead’s home city — Fresh City Farms.

🌿 The 10 acre property is located right in the middle of a densely populated city neighbourhood, with 5 acres of land available for farming.

🍅 Together with partner farmers, the farm grows more than 40 varieties of fruits and vegetables. 🌶️🍆🥬🧅

🚛 The fresh produce they harvest is delivered around the city, and offered for sale at their farmstand.

🍆 Fresh City Farms also hosts a farmer’s market in the summer months.

🥬 It’s a beautiful — and increasingly important — way to provide truly local fresh produce to the city dwellers in a community.
