This is a stage 2 theme.
Since the album only has 3 stages, in a traditional Touhou game, this would be a stage 2-3-4-5 theme, kind of a mix of all honestly.
I wanted this song to feel disorienting in the beginning but slowly become more beautiful and floaty, i wanted to make this especially clear with the drums, i gave them a special effect and experimented with some new patterns (3/4 in 4/4).
I wanted this song to have a lot of key changes to represent the different feelings of what a journey is about.
Story:
Reimu enters the cave, but it turns out it was actually a portal to a dream dimension. She thinks it might belong to Mima, who she saw earlier before she set out to find the culprit.
The dream dimension is very strange, there's clouds everywhere, even on the ground, and the colours are very bright, and there's heat waves, but it isn't particularly hot or anything...
In the distance, Reimu sees a menacing figure.

This is an original composition i made to celebrate the birthday of the person who taught me how to compose music: Mana Kazami
Today on June 25, she is celebrating her birthday, and while i have never ever given her a proper gift in the past, i wanted to change that today!
When i met Mana, it was in 2011, she was the first Touhou style composer outside of Japan, she learned me how to make music and what ZUN uses to make Touhou music.
So she means a lot to me, and this time, i wanted to give a gift to show my gratitude for all the nice moments we have experienced together, so i wanted to make a parody of her style!
Even the title is a parody on Manas titles, they often have these random French words, so i decided to throw in random words from different languages for irony purposes.
When i showed this song to MtH, she made a picture of a baguette and a fidget spinner, i told her id use it for the video, because recording a MIDI animation video for this would take too much time, and there is not enough time.
I tried parodying a lot of things about Manas style, but also the music she is interested in, primarily Misora
I have to admit that the mixing/mastering is slightly rushed, and i had some recording issues...
But i think this gift is about the message, i think i did my best, i did everything i could to make a gift as quick as i could before June 25, and i really hope that Mana likes it.

11 April 2018 is the day the album will release!
Strawberry Heaven Conquest
I am happy to announce my new experimental music album, Strawberry Heaven Conquest, this album will feature more than 8 new songs, both original compositions and arranges of previous songs (and perhaps even PC-98 remasters/arranges, youll have to wait to find out!)
Its been exactly one year since the release of Touhou: Phantasm of Eternity, and i thought it was time for a new album, but this time, without Touhou as a primary focus, i wanted to focus on trying new things this time, so get ready for jazz, dubstep, DnB, bagpipes, and KIRBY!
But hey, dont worry, there will also be some traditionally Touhou-ish inspired music for the classic fans!
I kinda wanted to go for a more off-the-rails concept for this album, because lately, i am doing my best to broaden my horizons a little by trying to get better at a variety of styles in music to be more appealing to a wider audience and to take a step to become more professional.
One of my biggest inspirations in music is Jake Kaufman, he is very good at a wide variety of genres and styles, but he still manages to not sacrifice the composition of the songs, and thats something i really want to learn as well, i want to try a LOT of new stuff while still having that classic Sylvy touch of beauty attached to it.
For this album, ive also written a little side story, there will be a little part of the story in every song description.
The story will be a sort-of-sequal to my game i made in 2016, Graceful Danmaku Festival.
In the game, you had to stop a group called Strawberry Heaven, led by the mysterious Annabelle and her commander, Setsuya.
However, after the game, Annabelle disappeared, and Setsuya felt betrayed because she realised she was the only one who took Strawberry Heaven seriously.
Well, 2 years have passed since then, and Setsuya has grown quite bitter with her feelings.
Originally, Strawberry Heavens goal was to prepare people for an apocalypse, but since an apocalypse is never gonna happen, people have returned to their lazy lifestyles.
Setsuya grows to despise that the world is filled with immortal beings like fairies who do not contribute anything to the world because they dont have to, so she starts creating dangerous situations like setting forests and plains on fire, to make them fear death, because according to her, there is no life without death, and she wishes to prove that to the world in her own way...
Slowly, her ideas are gaining more traction, and Strawberry Heaven is rising once again, this time, with a more serious leader...
The Strawberry Heaven Conquest will launch on 11 April 2018~!")
