A piano medley of the final boss themes of all the touhou fangames/albums that I can remember, in chronological release order. Kudos to anyone that can recognize all the songs. There’s some pretty obscure ones in there.
This arrangement is meant to be “theoretically playable”, as in, there are no impossible reaches or anything. So… What are my thoughts reflecting back on this whole thing? Scroll to the bottom of the description for your answer. To quote myself, “I’m a composer, not an arranger.” Still, I do sort of appreciate the experience, as far as “having enough dedication to force myself to finish something way beyond the scope of what I thought I could do” goes. Why did I go through with all this? I guess as a gesture of reverence towards all the touhou-style composers that have inspired me. As whiney as I may seem, I actually am quite grateful towards all of you guys for creating this community (Although most of the “you guys” in this medley are Japanese and won’t ever read this, so eh). Touhou-style originals really don’t get enough appreciation, in my opinion (In the Western community, at least). Also, for some reason, nobody else has done something like this before, or at least not on Youtube, so I decided to fill in the void. Would I ever do something like this again? Hell no. But I feel like I probably will anyways for some godforsaken reason.

The composer with the most songs in this medley is… Wanwan! At a staggering 6 songs! Congratulations, Wanwan!
The composer with the second most songs is… Maceknight! With 2 songs! Not bad, Maceknight!
The composer with the third most songs is… literally everyone else! With 1 song apiece! Good work, literally everyone else!

“Fun had while Gizmo did all the video editing for me” rating: 10/10

SttJ got bashed hard when it came out for many reasons, not the least of which was because its music sucked.
Somehow, I’ve managed to find myself as the composer for SttJ, so now I’m slowly working to “fix Sparen’s mistakes” and replace its OST.
I managed to finish 5 songs in time for the first update.
