Hello everyone!
I’ve transcribed the theme of the second boss.
Does this sound… weird?
Honestly, it’s not my favorite theme. It feels unsettling and tense all the way through, even in the verses where there’s a more “normal” melody.
I assume it fits the character, since they’re introduced as some kind of unknown species (I’m not too up to date on the character’s lore), so it’s not too bad in that sense.
I didn’t really feel like continuing with this track, but since Touhou 20 has now been fully released, I pushed myself to finish it after spending long stretches of hours on it yesterday.
Many of the instruments (if not all of them) are incorrect—I only used them because they sound somewhat similar. Identifying the instruments is becoming blurrier and harder, especially when they can’t be clearly heard in the mix.
What seems to sound like an electric piano playing arpeggios in the final section is what I like the most.
I’ve already listened briefly to the tracks from the full version of the game, and I have to say I really love the stage 4 and boss 4 themes.
Hopefully I can finish the remaining demo transcriptions soon so I can move on to stage 4.

Ayer salió Touhou 18 así que continuaré por donde lo dejé.
Me gustó bastante este tema, el inicio es una de mis partes favoritas de hecho.
Intentar transcribirlo me costó bastante, sobretodo la guitarra acústica, aún después de tanto ensayo y error siento que no está lo suficientemente cercana, al igual que el edit que esta tiene, no pude editarla ni de una manera similar a la de ZUN, pero tampoco está del todo mal.
Y no crean que se salvarán de las elementics. Si ZUN no las pone, las pondré yo!

Touhou 18 came out yesterday so Ill pick up where I left off.
I quite liked this track, the beginning is one of my favorite parts actually.
Trying to transcribe it cost me quite a bit, especially the acoustic guitar, even after so much trial and error I feel its not close enough, just like the edit this one has, I couldnt edit it even in a similar way to ZUN, but its not too bad either.
And dont think youll be spared the elementics. If ZUN doesnt put them, I will!

Bien, vamos por el siguiente tema.
Sencillo, repetitivo e intenso, cumple el mismo patrón que los jefes anteriores. Incluso me gustó más que Smoking Dragon.
No sabría como describir la sensación que me produce toda la melodía, es realmente extraña.
También me gustó como ZUN jugó con el panning en este tema, mas que nada para brindar espacio al piano (Que por cierto, es muy probable que sea Model D Close y Yamaha C7. Yo solo usé uno por comodidad).
Poco más que aportar, un tema divertido de transcribir, espero sea igual de divertido con el resto de temas que faltan!

Well, lets go for the next track.
Simple, repetitive and intense, it follows the same pattern as the previous bosses. I even liked it more than Smoking Dragon.
I wouldnt know how to describe the feeling the whole melody gives me, its really strange.
I also liked how ZUN played with the panning in this track, mostly to give space to the piano (Which by the way, is most likely Model D Close and Yamaha C7. I only used one for convenience).
Little more to contribute, a fun track to transcribe, I hope it will be as much fun with the rest of the missing tracks!

Out of nowhere I got a rush and finished this song in less than 10 hours. Thats a new record.
Well, I simply tried to recreate the original theme, I love how the Elementics of this theme stand out more than the rest, so I did what I could to edit them that way.

Amo este tema, desde la primera vez que lo escuché me encantó demasiado. Realmente es mi tema favorito del juego en cuanto a Stage se refiere.
Siento que tiene una pizca de Indepentent simulacrum en ciertas partes, se siente tan hermoso...
A pesar de no tener la flauta que usó ZUN en este tema, me las intenté arreglar con una combinación de flautas, estoy conforme con el resultado. También opté por resaltar la trompeta, no me termina de agradar como ZUN está editando la trompeta quitándole un poco las frecuencias agudas. Prefiero dejarle almenos algo de las frecuencias agudas.

I love this theme, from the first time I heard it I loved it too much. It really is my favorite theme of the game as far as Stage is concerned.
I feel like it has a hint of Independent simulacrum in certain parts, it feels so beautiful....
Despite not having the flute that ZUN used in this theme, I tried to make do with a combination of flutes, Im happy with the result. I also chose to highlight the trumpet, I dont really like the way ZUN is editing the trumpet by removing a little bit of the high frequencies. I prefer to leave at least some of the high frequencies.
