In this battle: Macedon vs Seubi

The most important element of a phalanx is engaging shoulder to shoulder with other friendly pike units. Separated pike units will be easily flanked, but if you have a strong united line, it will be harder for your opponent to go around and do damage because your flanks are the only source of weakness and that means 1/2 places to pay close attention to at once. I do make some mistakes here and the replay system is still broken, so some of the end-results might differ.
Some tactics covered in this battle:
- Tactical positioning through advance and retreat tactics to lead enemy lines into an unfavorable position.
- Battle line cohesion with pike phalanx core.
- Using the tactical map view to see which parts of the map you have vision to.
- Learning how to use the tactical map view to plan your moves.
